I have attended a polymer clay workshop with my sisters at Subang Jaya. It is fun and interesting workshop. For me, it is like a patient test as it need lots of patient to shape the dolly. Another challenge for me is it need high creativity. Thanks god as i manage to made one for my own although it is less nice compare to others but i'm satify with my first art work.
Thanks to Leena for teaching us to made the cute & chubby dolly. You may see more her art work at http://artsgizmo.blogspot.com/.
Here are some steps to make the cute little dolly:-
1. Must condition the clay first before do any figuring so that we can shape the thing easily. How to condition it? Just with your little fingers and palm.. easy ya :)
2. Secondly use the light orange clay to shape the head. plot the eyes with tooth pick so that we can adjust the face accordingly.
3. Paste the little blackly round eyes ball on the eyes area after that draw some "wrinkles / eyelashes" for her with a small art knife. Remember: Do not draw too many or too deep else it become "nenek". Next is made for her nose.
4. Place the head aside and is time to choose a base color for her body. Shape it in a stand-able cone. After that, we pasted the head on the cone. Just like the photo below.
5. Dressing for her and lastly is design for her hair style.
6. Bake it in oven under 100°C, let it cool down for few minutes. After that, insert the key-chain hook and make it as a key chain. ~~ DONE ~~
